Looks like AGEIA is hosting an online meet-up for all those PhysX Card owners who would like to get their fix.. it's happening on Thursday the 13th of December.
here's a link to the AGEIA forums where you can get more information.
Warmonger, a collaberation between NetDevil and Ageia is ready for download over here. The system requirements STRONGLY recommend a Physx card, which Dell.com has on for $143.99. There haven't been a ton of reviews on it yet, but who doesn't love a little apocalyptic first person action?
If free is good by you, and you have a Physx card, give it a try. If you don't have a Physx card, run out and buy one at the same time as you grab UT3 and they will throw in Bet On Soldier: Blood of Sahara, GRAW, and City of Villains.
Just got word that Warmonger - the upcoming PhysX-powered FPS - has graduated from closed beta to open beta and is freely available right now. Here's the Link - enjoy!
Over at Dell they have the M1730 available in configurations ranging from insanely expensive to 'sell a kidney' expensive. They feature SLI graphics, insane speeds, and of course, the newly minted Ageia M100 laptop Physx processor. These machines promise to strip the fillings out of your head with their incredible processing power, but don't expect battery life to be a selling feature: even though the Ageia chip sucks a miserly 10 watts the rest of the rig will drain your batteries faster than you can say 'lithium ion'.
While Dell has the exclusive over the next while several other vendors are sure to enter the fray depending on demand of the Dell unit. This definitely falls under the category of 'laptop envy', but this one is sure to please.
We just received word that Warmonger will be pushed back slightly (still shipping 'in time for the holidays') in order to make modifications and we assume perfect the code.
The good news is that the multiplayer test has been re-opened and is currently accepting sign-ups. The multiplayer test includes five levels and is in a semi-complete state.
We're about a week or so away from Warmonger's official launch date and it looks like AGEIA is opening up the game to anyone who's willing to give NetDevil's multiplayer shooter a try. System specs say that it requires a PhysX card, but it looks like anyone can give it a try.
Here's a video clip from Tiger Direct's Tiger TV.. It includes footage of GRAW2, Unreal Tournament 3 and Warmonger.. currently the PhysX 'Triple Threat' of game content.
